Emirates schedule is still recovering after a severe incident in Dubai involving a Boeing 777 transporter.
Fifty Emirates services were either cancelled or diverted following the 3 August accident, affecting some 23,000 passengers, as Dubai was closed for 6h.
While the airline is gradually returning services to normal, it says it expects knock-on effects for the next 36h.
Emirates says it cancelled 27 services after the accident with another 23 diverted to alternate airports including Sharjah, Dubai World Central, Fujairah, Al Ain, Muscat and Bahrain.
NOTAM information from Dubai indicate that runway 12L, the scene of the accident, remained closed after the airport resumed operations.
Restrictions imposed at Dubai have also included a block on smaller aircraft types – with an exception for the base carriers – while external airlines have been limited to a single service in each 24h period, according to NOTAM data.
